Our Open Culture of Fair Exchange Regarding Our Courses, Services and Events and Whether to Donate or Not to Donate. The general rule in spiritual exploration is that somewhere within the first one or two courses, services or events that you participate in you should experience some tangible and meaningful benefit. But, it takes about 6 months of both learning and practicing a new spiritual discipline to produce a personally significant and important change in one's life.
Participating in any of our courses, services or events should provide you with real value and tangible benefits. These benefits and values can be in the form of a changed or improved perspective or attitude, a new commitment or even a new behavior. They also can be an educational or personal support that helps you heal or maintain some new habit to live better. There are many faces to both the small and large benefits that we believe our courses, services and events can provide to you and --- you are the one who gets to be the judge of that value!
Your First Introductory Course, Service or Event is Free and...
We offer our first course or service to you free and --- you can always be generous and donate what you like if you feel we have served you well. We offer subsequent courses, services or events on a donate what you can or exchange something of value with us basis. This donation exchange is based upon both what you feel is appropriate to your financial means, and according to the value that you feel our services and materials have brought into your life.
Often we have a suggested donation listed for some courses, services and events, but it is only a suggestion and is subject to the principles in this summary of the fair exchange values of our community. Any listed suggested donation value amount is determined by the reasonable costs to create and administrate the course as well as our best estimate of what a person at the average income median can reasonably afford in our area --- the San Francisco Bay area of the United States for the value we have seen that the course can deliver.
This suggested donation value using the average income median would therefore change if you were located in a different country or in an area of the US significantly more or less expensive than the San Francisco area. The suggested donation amount also allows you to increase that amout or decrease it if you have a greater or lesser income than the median income we use to set the suggested donation amount.
If you DO receive a real value from any of our courses, services or events (even the first one,) and you feel that they have improved your life in a tangible way, please do support us by exchanging energy with us in some way so that we too may continue to exist and grow! People who take our on and offline courses do provide an important portion of our total mission financial support.
As a mini-culture/living system and, a reflection of the deepest natural patterns and laws of the universe our organization holds that maintaining fair and appropriate energy exchanges in life with all the sources that support one’s life is vital to our well being as well as the planet on all levels! We do fully realize that our members and visitors come from many different economic levels and completely trust that they will joyously donate to us according to both their means and the value that they have received in exchange from us. And, we will receive those generous and kind donations with equal joy!
Non-Monetary Donations Gladly Accepted
Some individuals cannot afford any monetary donation, but they always can exchange their donated labor or services with us to maintain the healthy practice of exchanging something of value for something of value. (And, we are flexible and always also open to hearing about special authentic need situations where no exchange is possible at all and, where our organization can help.)

What if You did not get Something of Value from our Courses or Services?
Our community culture strongly supports fair exchange as a throughly proven basic evolutionary success law of life. Therefore, if you did not get a real value from our courses, services or events and you feel that they have not improved your life in some tangible way, please do not donate! To ask you to doante in this situation would demonstrate a real value incongruence within our organization.
If you did not get a real value or benefit in your very first course, service or event we recommend that you may want to try one more of our courses or events that you feel is best suited to your current needs. If after that course, service or event if you still do not receive a tangible benefit to your life for which you want to joyously exchange energy and support with our organization, then we simply ask that you do not participate in any more of our courses, services or events.
To continue taking courses, services or events without fair exchange accourding to the very flexible and sensitive principles set out in this summary would put an unfair drain on our community resources as well as our other community members who are financially supporting our mission. Continuing to take any of our courses, services or events without fair exchange would be to take advantage of both our openness and to freeload upon our generous and kind members, staff and organization.
We feel that to not openly educate visitors to our community about our shared and flexible community fair exchange values concerning appropriate and healthy exchange practices would be negligent and it would ignore a throughly proven spiritual and secular universal success law about what makes life work, communities grow, missions flourish and reciprocal fair exchange related resentments, conflicts and even wars prevented!
